I hope you can join us for the closing reception of Ann LePore’s Upward Mobility, a site-specific installation that is as much homemade cinema as it is giant boombox radiating ethereal sounds.

“The images and installations I create are heavily influenced by my experiences not just as an artist, but as a member of a community that is defined by the physical assertions and limitations of a very specific environment,” LePore says.

SILVERMAN is a New Jersey real estate developer, creatively rebuilding urban areas, supporting the arts, while building neighborhoods.

ArtBloc is a mobile art gallery and performance space built from two repurposed shipping containers – it is a dynamic community venue for art, music, dance and theater.

Brendan Carroll is an artist, writer and curator. He organizes a rotating exhibition program of prominent and up-and-coming artists for SILVERMAN.

  1. Thanks for posting this! The shipping container, ArtBloc is located on McWilliams Place between 8th and 9th streets. Pavonia ave is the official mailing address of the SILVERMAN site that we are so grateful to have access to.
